MaD rAmBlInGs had it’s beginnings in an art project. I thought I would make designs for coffee mugs to bring awareness to mental health. I realized I am more of a writer than an artist, but didn’t want to let that work go to waste, so here is where I began.

The first of what will hopefully be many designs.  I’m terrible with keeping a journal, so I am constantly trying to find a new approach.  My most recent tactic has been to keep a running Word document.  I have it on my iPad which I keep with me when I am sitting on my back deck.  That is my safe space and every day the weather is permitting it, that is where you are most likely to find me if I am home.

Anyway, I am able to randomly type something that comes to mind without feeling like I have to write a whole entry or even any explanation.  It is this document, entitled The Un-Journal, that is responsible for the birth of Mad Rambings.  My first design pays tribute to The Un-Journal taking the inspiration from the follow quote, “I am a prisoner bleeding from nails ripped off in a frantic desperation to get out of my own head.”

I don’t want to start out too intense, so I plan on leaving the explanation as it is thus far.
